David feels so lonely, despite the crowd

A few months ago, David signed up on all the trendy social networking websites. Since then, he has accumulated 230 friends - friends from school, from university, old work collegues, new collegues, new friends, his family… and even some people who he hardly knows and who he would never even thought about sending messages to - its just a list, a long list of contacts that don’t mean anything.
